Daniel Burnham (September 4, 1846 – June 1, 1912) was a world cl architect who lived in Chicago and built many of the buildings there after the famous Fire supposedly caused by Mrs. O'Leary's cow. He supposedly drew up the plans for the observatory for Mt. Palomar Observatory. Robert Burnham( June 16, 1931 – March 20, 1993)(this is NOT the editor of Astronomy Magazine) was also from Chicago but is the author of the famous Burnham's Celestial Handbook.
